A Place to Be

Under the sky

Beyond it all

Outside by a tree.

In the quiet of the night

When the bat takes it's flight

I find a place for me.

Sitting on a deck

The world it's a wreck

And I don't have to be

Any more or less then me.

Outside the walls

In a yard where the heavens

Are the halls

And the universe is bigger than I can see

And a great God takes time for me

That's where I want to be

Alone in the quiet

I find you

I find me.

In the stillness of the night

When the stars and lightning bug

Bring light

Finally, inside my soul I can see
